Babies

April 6th, 2011

Well it is that time of the year again.  Right now we have baby pigs, goats, rabbits, and chickens.  Turkeys, lambs, and geese are on the way.

The kids produced so far this year are absolutely beautiful.  Truckee finally gave us a blue eyed buck!  We have several kids with blue eyes and polling.  Gary can’t decide what to keep and what to sell.  He will have to decide soon, because more are on the way.

Good Measure Farm and New Goats

October 9th, 2010

Good Measure Farm has decided to disperse their herd.  The Worley’s have one of the most impressive Nigerian Milking herds in the number of letters received by their does and bucks.  In 2009 they received 10 + additional letters to their herd name. Not only this, but the conformation of their animals is top notch.  We were lucky to have had the benefit of acquiring 2 does: Calla Lilly * D and GingerRogers and a buck: Picassio *S last year.  We were so happy with the performance of these guys that we had to add more to our herd.  We are lucky enough to add several *D does and a *S buck from their lines.

Ice Storm Results

February 19th, 2009

Well, we were without power for over two weeks.  We lost a room to our home due to a tree breaking the roof.  We also lost a couple of litters of rabbits and a few birds.  It has been rough but we are very lucky.  The sight will be going slow until some of this mess is cleaned up.

Scary Machines

Leonard was injured by his baler this past weekend.  One of his tendons was pulled off his arm.  He had to have reattachment surgery and is doing much better now.  Please include him in your thoughts and prayers.
